CHICO — The Chico State women's basketball team entered its home game Thursday night against Cal Poly Pomona in search of a spot in the top three of the California Collegiate Athletic Association standings. The Wildcats entered 9-5 and 5-3 and in fourth place and the Broncos entered 9-3 and 6-2 in the CCAA. A win by Chico State would have tied the two teams at 6-3 in the CCAA, with the Wildcats having the head-to-head advantage. Defeating Cal Poly Pomona at home appeared to be a tough task entering Thursday, as the Broncos entered Thursday a perfect 6-0 on the road.
