CHICO — Pleasant Valley distance runner Chloe Alchin entered PV in 2019 as a timid, shy freshman wanting to compete for the Vikings' cross country and track and field teams. Four years later Alchin has grown into a leader on both teams, and Wednesday she signed her letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic career at Division II Cal Poly Pomona — a conference rival of Chico State.
