The Pomona Concert Band will present 'Fanfare and Flourishes,' featuring music ranging from a George Gershwin song and a John Philip Sousa march to selections from 'West Side Story,' 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 12. The concert, sponsored by the city of Pomona, will be in the Palomares Park Community Center, 499 E. Arrow Highway, Pomona. Admission is free, and refreshments will be served at intermission. Linda W. Taylor, Jorge Garcia and Kerry Kline will direct the band, and master of ceremonies will be David Allen, a columnist for the Southern California News Group.
